The Kids Connect Accreditation System assists parents to make better choices when it comes to their children’s health and lifestyle habits. It effectively takes the guesswork away from parents when they are buying products for their children by guiding them to the ‘better’ choice options available on the ‘supermarket shelf’ or shop floor.

Our Purpose

Kids Connect aims fit a simple ‘ABC’ approach. Our purpose is to assist consumers to be more:

  • Aware
  • Balanced in their choice of products to create healthier lifestyle habits for their children
  • Confident and informed in their decisions about what is better for their children

Kids Connect Categories

The Accreditation system assesses products in five categories:

  • Food and Beverage
  • Healthcare
  • Baby/Toddler
  • Lifestyle and Learning
  • Physical Activity

How Kids Connect Works

Use of the Kids Connect Stamp is subject to accreditation of a product based on:

  • an independent review by a panel of leading health and nutrition experts,
  • a set of clear guidelines which are developed using best practice health, safety and nutritional standards. These are regularly reviewed by the independent panel to ensure currency and relevance
  • an individual line item basis only
  • agreement to ongoing independent reviews and when reformulation occurs
  • immediate withdrawal of the stamp and all promotional activity where product non-compliance is identified.

Once accredited the product is supported by a comprehensive marketing program, promotions and in store point of sale aimed at building consumer awareness and changing purchase behaviour.
